When you make a connection to our server, the time as well as your IP address is entered into the server logs (a default function of the web server). We will only use this information, and specific information such as successes or failures accessing content on the website, to improve everyone’s access to the website (and to find and fix problems on the website, such as missing graphics files), and to collect aggregate statistics, such as how many times pages were accessed by all users.
Forum:
Please note that with each post on the forums, your IP address is recorded, in the event that you need to be banned from this forum or your ISP contacted. This will only happen in the event of a major violation of this agreement. Further information and rules about our forum can be viewed on it’s respective Rules and Guidelines.
Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser’s cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.
E-Mail:
When you send us an e-mail, we receive certain amount of data; personal information like your e-mail address and IP. Any personal information received will be treated with the strictest confidence. Your name, email address, or any other personal information will NOT be used for other purposes or sold to anyone. However in the event we deem to see the content of your e-mail unfit, your ISP may be contacted.
Update feature on SCars:
When you run the Updates feature on SCars, we do not send any personally identifiable information to the server.
The program simply downloads a file from our server that contains information on the latest available updates or versions. And if newer updates are available, the program will update to the latest files. No data is sent to us during this process.
