About
Securitycadets.com is a UK support site that helps with computer related problems and informs computer users about security news and general technology to a worldwide audience.
We are dedicated to fighting spyware, malware and other nasties from the internet.
We have a support forum for people to use and have free help with their problems they may be having.
We started in late 2005 using a free blog service and in early 2006 we registered this domain.
Our objectives have remained the same as we’ve developed:
- Provide free help to computer users (making sure it stays free).
- To help remove spyware, annoying pop-ups & general crapware that you can get from surfing the net.
- Offer PC help and advice for Windows platforms and hardware.
- Try to educate users so that they can go away safer and with a better knowledge in hope no re-infection occurs.
On our blog, which acts as our front page, we have a few guest bloggers who blog from time to time:-
- AndyAtHull – Trained as a malware fighter at Malwareremoval.com, he founded this site and is the CEO.
- Corrine – Microsoft MVP and expert in the community. Corrine can also be seen to blog here - Securitygarden.blogspot.com.
Apart from guest bloggers, we also have support staff in our forum. Some being awarded the Microsoft MVP award for Consumer Windows Security and others who work many forums across the network whom we work with.
In 2006 we proudly became a member of ASAP.
“ASAP stands for the Alliance of Security Analysis Professionals.”
“ASAP started out as a small band of security sites under seige, and is rapidly expanding to include the Best of the Best the Internet Security Community has to offer.” – Read here for more.
We are widely associated with other forums and sites to help fight malware. And as part of helping those who wish to learn more, we allow new malware fighters answer to live log work in Malware Removal, whilst in training.
In February 2010 we released our first Windows application called SCars. SCars is a utility that will help maintain a computer in security matters. (more info).
