Ask.com Toolbar is back with Webroot Software

March 15th, 2009 by AndyAtHull

Just a few weeks ago we reported about Webroot’s SpySweeper not including the Ask.com toolbar anymore. We thought, after a long period of time, Webroot finally came around to the idea that including the option of a toolbar in their software was not beneficial.

However it appears it’s back in the installer. One of Calender of Updates moderators’ reported a few days ago now that it’s clearly still included. Donna from CoU (a sister site) blogged it on her SecurityFlash blog. And you can see a screenshot of it here.

I haven’t tested this yet. But I trust their work. It’s a shame things have been reversed. Discuss it here in our forum.
