August 12th, 2008 by AndyAtHullHere we go again! Another fake security product/rogue/piece of trash! This time it goes by the name of “Internet-Antivirus“.

That is what the application looks like. However, when it hijacks, your browser will automatically change to the following. Like our example below, we choose a safe site to demonstrate:
Once you click on the links in the hijacked browser you get directed to either one of the following:
ia-scanner com
ia-license com
ia-payment com
ia-support com
It’s a fair cop to say that you need to avoid visiting those links. Just like the rogues page:
www(dot)internet-antivirus(dot)com
This one appears to be poorly detected at present. Both Bharath and SunBelt have blogged about it. And to no surprise, Estdomains Inc are involved.
What we suggest (if this has affected you) is to seek help in our forum or by following our own removal guide for this rogue. And as always, all help is free.
We really need your input on this and hope you spread this around so that others can be warned. Why not discuss this rogue in more detail here.
