Another rogue – VirusBurst

Oh the joys!! Here is another rougue! Which looks alot like SpywareQuake! And I don’t know about you, but I think they are trying to be some kind of comedian. Take a look:-

This rogue does the same thing to be honest. It uses a .dll file to infect you and asks you for $49 dollars or so to remove it. Infact BleepingComputer have a nice little post on it which you can have a look at here.

They offcourse use the same pay service as other rogues and to no suprise are hosted at ESTDOMAINS INC.

Another joke is the EULA, it basiclly has the same one SpywareQuake uses as it still mentions SpywareQuake! Not that the products look gives it away or anything!

Edit – If you are wondering. It seems they have taken a virusburst.org domain out now. Just appeared in google. To no suprise it is registerd to the same person and registrar.

    I ran norton virus scan and everything clean, opened control panel – remove programs and did not find virusburst, ran spy sweeper and adaware and all clean, but still have the virusburst icon blinking on right bottom of desk top and when I open Explorer get message to download something which I cancel each time and then can proceed to surf the net. need help to delete the probllem, thanks – I use dell desktop computer
